After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1976, Raymond P. Putt went to sea, or rather beneath the sea as part of the Navy's unique brotherhood of submariners. His last boat was the ballistic missile submarine USS Henry Clay, on which he served as Executive Officer.

Ray's career then went ashore where he served as an analyst on the Pentagon's Joint Staff and then as Executive Officer of the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command. From 1995 to 2004 he taught mathematics while serving as the Associate Chair of Mathematics at the Naval Academy in Annapolis.

It might come as little surprise that Ray has carved a niche specialty in the mortgage industry, catering to professionals with military and academic credentials. But it should also come as no surprise that his background as a leader and a mathematician make him extraordinarily adept at exploring and evaluating financial options for clients of all backgrounds and aspirations. Ray has been a mortgage consultant in the residential mortgage industry since 2003. Besides his undergraduate degree from Annapolis, Ray also holds a master’s degree from the Catholic University of America. He is an active member of the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association and The Fleet Reserve. He and his wife of over 43 years, the former Mary Frances Carter, have two children and five grandchildren – and live in Arnold, Maryland.

Ray was phenomenal! He provided expert recommendations throughout the process and had an attention to detail with every step. His communication was clear and persistent from day one to closing and even followed up post-closing. I would highly recommend him to anyone who was looking for a top-tier loan officer! - John

Ray was a consummate professional. He has serviced a few loans for us now and his advice is always spot-on and ensures we get the best rate and best long-term value. When buying our latest home, he also helped put together a quick bridge loan to ensure we had a competitive offer when buying. He was referred to us by a friend, and we will certainly recommend him and Presidential Bank to anyone looking for a great, hassle-free mortgage. - John

We could not ask of anything better from Ray Putt! Him and his team were very professional in all aspects of our buying transaction. His knowledge, attention to detail and persistence to getting things taken care of in a timely manner made us feel very at ease with our new home purchase. Being a realtor, I have worked with numerous loan officers and brokers, Ray by far is Cream of the Crop when it comes to processing mortgage loans! I would definitely and highly recommend him to family, friends and future home buyers! Ray is the BEST!!! Thanks for your top notch service Ray! - Jonathan
